金屬玻璃是一類(lèi)具有結(jié)構(gòu)和功能應(yīng)用前景的新型金屬材料,是目前物理和材料學(xué)科最為活躍的研究領(lǐng)域之一。由于處于熱力學(xué)亞穩(wěn)態(tài),金屬玻璃在合適的外界條件下會(huì)自發(fā)地向相應(yīng)的晶態(tài)相發(fā)生轉(zhuǎn)變,導(dǎo)致晶化事件的發(fā)生。研究金屬玻璃的納米晶化不僅有重要的科學(xué)意義,同時(shí)也可對(duì)金屬玻璃的應(yīng)用提供理論指導(dǎo)。本文簡(jiǎn)要介紹了目前幾種代表性的金屬玻璃納米晶化微觀機(jī)制:經(jīng)典形核理論、基于耦合通量模型的形核機(jī)制、基于相分離的納米晶形核長(zhǎng)大機(jī)制、有序原子集團(tuán)沉積機(jī)制、非經(jīng)典形核理論、大過(guò)冷度條件下納米晶化的微觀機(jī)制等,同時(shí)結(jié)合作者課題組近年來(lái)在這方面的研究進(jìn)展對(duì)各種機(jī)制進(jìn)行了評(píng)述,最后對(duì)未來(lái)金屬玻璃納米晶化機(jī)制研究中需要重視的幾個(gè)問(wèn)題進(jìn)行了簡(jiǎn)單展望。

Abstract: Metallic glasses, as a new class of metallic materials with potential applications in structural and functional aspects, are one of the hottest topics in the field of physics and materials science. Since they are metastable thermodynamically, metallic glasses always transform into their crystalline counterparts spontaneously under some suitable conditions, leading to the occurrence of crystallization event. The research on nanocrystallization of metallic glasses not only is of scientific importance, but also offers theoretical guidance for applications of these materials. In this paper, we give a brief review of several representative micromechanisms for nanocrystallization of metallic glasses, including classical nucleation theory, nucleation mechanism based on the linked-flux model, nucleation and growth mechanism associated with phase separation, cluster deposition micromechanism, non-classical nucleation theory, and nanocrystallization micromechanism under a larger undercooling. Moreover, our recent progress in understanding the atomistic mechanism for nanocrystallization of metallic glasses is also reviewed. Finally, we point out a couple of issues that deserve further investigation to fully understand nanocrystallization behaviors of metallic glasses.Keywords: Metallic glass; Amorphous alloy; Nanocrystallization; Micromechanism
